General update.

Well it seems a long time since we did an update so here we go.

The year started off very well with sales of polystyrene egg boxes doing really well , most people seemed to be having a good laying season .Then came the rain. This slowed down sales of poly boxes and also our own layers  both from the small laying flock, and the Shamo breeding stock we now have .

We came across a good source of fragile tape at a reasonable price and  decided that what we all needed was a small boost to make us all feel good, so we started giving it away with all orders from our website shop. This made us feel good and judging from the comments also put a smile back on the faces of our customers.

Our Game bird flock still continues to grow , we now have a good selection of,

O Shamo, Thai, Thaiwan , Asil, Nankin, Ko Shamo, Chibi, Yamato Gunkai.

We will add pictures of some of the birds when time allows.

Keep checking the gallery for updates.

Sales of Diatomaceous Earth have gone very well locally and we now intend to add this product (which we use ourselves ) to our shop.

We are just starting an appraisal of another product for which we have high hopes .

OREGO-STIM

We understand that this product has been available to large breeders and laying flocks for some time but is now to become available to the smallholder in a more convenient size

1 litre  dispenser.

Being  100% natural this liquid derived from the herb oregano has beneficial anti bacterial properties, and has been shown to reduce incidences of coccidiosis and other diseases which challenge gut health in  poultry .

We will of course give a full report as the trials go on, and if we find it to be a useful product we will add it to our shop.

We hope to be taking some of our Shamo to the York Rare Breeds Sale in early October along with some of our famous blue and splash Hamburgs. So we may see some of our customers there.

If you cant wait so long please email us to see what birds we have for sale at the moment.

New promotion

We are now supplying free of charge , “fragile” packing tape with all box orders from our web shop. We will continue to do so whilst we can get supplies at a reasonable price.

The poly boxes remain the same excellent quality , and value for money as always. Again as usual we will try to post your order on the day it is received, provided it is received before 4.00pm.

More new pictures in the Gallery and update on the black boxes

We have not got round to adding the names of the birds yet but we have added some pictures of our trio of Blue Thai , who are laying now . Also you should be able to find a couple of new pictures of our White spangled Okinawa Shamo pair who are also laying.

Hopefully the weather will improve soon , and we will add more picture of the birds out on the grass.

The launch of our little black boxes ( high insulation Polystyrene egg posting boxes ) went really well and there are none left . We intend to try and have a stock of these as we do with the standard white poly boxes . However in the mean time if you want some please order in the normal way but be prepared for a delay in posting, as we are flat out with the white boxes at the moment. It could take up to a week to fulfill your order for the black boxes so order early please.

With the white polystyrene egg posting boxes we aim to get the boxes in the post the day we receive the order. To be sure of your order being posted we have listed below times etc.

Mon,Tues,Thurs,Fri, orders received before 4.00pm will be posted that day,if the order is placed later then they will be posted the following day. And as always they will be posted by first class post.

Wed, Sat, orders need to be in by 11.00am to ensure posting on that day.(post office shuts early these days) otherwise it will be the next day for Wed orders or Monday for Sat orders.
